Cost?
How much does something like this cost? The upfront answer is we don’t know. Then we always say over the phone or internet, “We don’t give price online or over the phone.” That explanation in a min. Why do we say this to every customer? Because we want to make sure that no one can say, “You said it would cost this much.”
Our return customers do not send parts to PolishMyParts, because of our price. They send parts here, again and again, because they know that their parts will get the best care possible. They send more parts, because of our quality.
The reason we can’t give a price for a part similar to one we have done before is simple, most the time they come in in different conditions; but also, the parts might look similar, but can take a different amount of time, because one area may take more effort and time in order to meet the minimum standard for PolishMyParts, which is our best.
Estimates? If we feel comfortable giving a really rough estimate, we will give an estimate, but it’s important that the customer understands that PolishMyParts is not committed to the estimate given.
Send a smaller part. We often suggest that a customer try us out first, with a smaller part, so they can judge for themselves if our cost matches our quality. Then they often send more. We are not responsible for an addiction that results from using PolishMyParts;)
