How to ship your part
There are 3 important aspects to shipping your part to us an getting it back. How to package, where to send it to, and how do you get it back.
packaging
Before packing up parts, make sure you download our packing sheet, fill it out and place a copy in each box shipped. You can find it here, Packing Sheet.
This is the most important part of getting your part to us, especially if the part is fragile in anyway. We suggest that your packaging be good enough for us to use the same packaging to send it back to you.
Whether you use boxes or tubes, be sure it is sturdy enough to prevent bending or denting. Also, consider if your packaging will be able to fit any foam or bubble rap we may need to protect your finish when we repackage it.
Shipping to Us
DO NOT SHIP TO OUR SHOP ADDRESS. Your package will likely be left outside our door. We have a shipping address for a packaging and shipping company near our shop. Please contact us for a shipping address before you ship.
We can receive packages from UPS, Fedex and USPS. When shipping to us, it is not necessary to give us a tracking number, but be sure to contact us to let us know it is on the way.
Return Shipping
We will use the same packaging the part came in if possible, but if we must purchase something more suitable to protect the part and the finish, we will add that to the bill.
If we use the same packaging, shipping should be in the same ballpark as the price of shipping to us, but on occasion the companies will have different rates for some reason.
Prior to shipping, we will contact you with the final cost of polishing, packaging and shipping.
